In 2024-25, QAA will continue to support and encourage the culture of enhancement in the higher education sector in Wales by supporting the sector, staff, students and learners to promote and deliver a high-quality academic experience across English and Welsh-medium provision.

We will support higher education providers in Wales in the following ways:

  • Reviews in Wales
  • Enhancement and leading sector conversations
  • Influence and policy insights
  • Collaboration across Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

In Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, members have access to an exclusive all-inclusive QAA Membership package, which automatically includes the International Insights enhancement service, specific activities in each devolved nation and access to the UK-wide member offer.

Here’s what our members say:

QAA Membership provides Bangor University with the collaborative networks and resources we need to provide transformative education for our students. We value its collaborative approach to raising standards through collegiate discussion and we recognise its key role in preserving the integrity of UK HE internationally. As our designated quality body in Wales, QAA is developing an evidence-based enhancement approach that will provide a solid basis for cross sector improvements for years to come.
