Land, Construction, Real Estate and Surveying (LCRES) represent the diverse subjects covering the entire life-cycle of the built environment. LCRES courses have connections to other subjects associated with the environment, its buildings and associated infrastructure - such as, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, housing, and town and country planning.
LCRES courses have a strong vocational component which prepares graduates for a wide range of careers in built environment, but also in project management, finance and investment, consultancy, accounting and engineering. Graduates have a unique opportunity to inclusively shape the way that people live their lives and influence a sustainable built and natural environment.
This 2024 Land, Construction, Real Estate and Surveying Subject Benchmark Statement was produced by a broad, diverse advisory group and represents the diverse subjects within built environment.
We hope the 2024 Subject Benchmarking Statement will act as a valuable framework to strengthen existing good practice and further develop such practice to enhance the experience of learners who will make a significant contribution to society.
