Becoming a QAA Member

Existing members

 

Renewing your membership is simple. You’ll receive an email in May with a link to your renewal form – just click on the link and submit your completed form by the end of July. To confirm your renewal, you must pay your membership invoice within 30 days of receipt, otherwise your membership will be terminated.

The QAA Membership year runs from 1 August to 31 July each year. Membership is available to higher education providers who are:

 

  • a legal entity registered or established in the UK or a UK crown dependency, and delivering, or planning to deliver, UK qualifications at Level 4 and above of the FHEQ or Level 7 and above of the SCQF
  • subject to one of the following: review by QAA; the quality or regulatory arrangements that apply to higher education in one of the UK nations; the oversight (for example, through a formal collaborative partnership) of a provider which itself is subject to the quality or regulatory arrangements that apply to higher education institutions in one of the UK nations; engaged in a contractual service with QAA’s Assessment Services within the last three years.

Elective Quality Review

Offers a cyclical quality enhancement review by QAA, providing independent assurances about the standard of your academic awards and learning experience. 


This service will:

  • demonstrate adherence to the European Standards and Guidelines, aiding international recruitment and partnerships
  • offer expert advice on enhancement through tailored follow-up activities.

Targeted Quality and Standards Service

Offers providers in England a bespoke, external assessment for specific quality and standards matters. 


This service will: 
  • offer a fresh, objective perspective through detailed analysis to identify strengths and priority areas
  • provide a bespoke report with quick wins and long-term strategies, including clear recommendations and next steps
  • future-proof strategies with access to QAA experts who offer support, sector insights, and help turn your quality vision into reality.

Offering guidance on managing and developing international collaborations, ensuring strategic and sustainable partnerships.
