Starting discussions at a European level: QAA leads sessions at the European Quality Assurance Forum
Date: | November 10 - 2021 |
---|
QAA will contribute to the upcoming European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) through ‘discussion starter’ sessions on academic integrity and the use of data to enhance the student learning experience. Through these sessions, we will share with our European partners some of the sector-leading work we have been carrying out to enhance practice in these areas.
This complements our existing leadership at a European level, for example through chairing the ENQA Working Group on Academic Integrity.
One of QAA’s sessions will focus on empowering students and staff to use data effectively to improve the learning experience. It will be led by Dr Ailsa Crum, QAA’s Director of Membership, Quality Enhancement and Standards, and share insights from two of sector-wide projects focused on data: QAA Scotland’s three-year ‘Evidence for Enhancement’ Theme and QAA’s research on ‘Data-led Decision-Making’.
Gareth Crossman, QAA’s Head of Policy and Communications, will facilitate a session on collaborative and proactive action to combat academic misconduct. It will take participants through QAA’s Academic Integrity Charter, which was developed in collaboration with the UK Academic Integrity Advisory Group and with students, exploring whether such an initiative could be applied in other international jurisdictions.
This year’s EQAF will take place online from 18-19 November and is entitled ‘Building trust and enhancement: from information to evidence’. Those wishing to attend EQAF can register via their online events page.
