QAA signs agreement with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations

QAA is delighted to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations (MHESI) in Uzbekistan on the prestigious occasion of the Uzbekistan-UK Education Forum at Westminster International University in Tashkent.

MHESI is the state authority responsible for higher education in Uzbekistan. They have several priority areas of activity, including ensuring the quality of education and developing international collaboration to implement joint programmes.

The MoU provides a framework for collaboration between QAA and MHESI, with both parties agreeing to work together to support the development of UK-Uzbekistan partnerships, share experience and information on quality assurance and quality systems, and explore opportunities for staff development and supporting MHESI with their quality assurance reforms and developments.

This is the next step in an ongoing relationship between QAA and MHESI, building on a current British Council-funded project involving the development of a national Quality Code in Uzbekistan.
