QAA is delighted to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAHE).
SAAHE was established in 2018 and is an independent and autonomous public body in the field of quality assessment and accreditation of higher education institutions in the Slovak Republic. Its mission is to contribute to the enhancement of the quality of higher education in the Slovak Republic within the framework of the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and foster the development of a quality culture within higher education institutions.
Through this MoU, QAA and SAAHE have agreed to share information on their respective higher education and quality systems, explore opportunities for joint working in international accreditation and higher education review activity, and collaborate on events.
QAA’s Chief Executive Vicki Stott said: ‘We are very pleased to have signed an MoU with SAAHE. This agreement is an opportunity to work together and exchange information and ideas on shared challenges and opportunities in quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area, which is a priority for QAA.’
SAAHE’s Chair of Executive Board Robert Redhammer said: ‘We appreciate good mutual relations since establishment of SAAHE. This MoU is a next step in our cooperation. We see a lot of shared values and opportunities in quality assurance of higher education.’
