QAA recruiting for student committee members

Date: May 16 - 2024

QAA is looking to appoint up to 11 new members to its Student Strategic Advisory Committee (SSAC).

A key function of SSAC is to act as an advisory committee to QAA's Board of Directors, providing objective strategic advice and guidance to inform the Board's decision-making, particularly in relation to QAA's work with students. The Committee also influences our strategic direction and existing work in relation to student engagement activities and projects. In addition, we use the invaluable student perspective and expertise gained through the Committee to inform future programmes or initiatives.

We are seeking applications from current learners, students or apprentices in higher education, any person who has graduated within the last two years, or any current elected student representative or students’ union (or representative body) staff member.

We particularly welcome applications from those with experience of progressing into higher education through an Access to HE course, HE students currently studying a college, independent provider or small/specialist institution, those studying for an HE apprenticeship, and those with experience of studying internationally.

SSAC meets three times during each academic year and committee members are expected to participate in these three meetings. It is expected that meetings will be held online.

Applications are open until Thursday 20 June 2024. Please visit the SSAC webpage to download our recruitment pack and application form.
