QAA joins graduation celebrations at European University of Tirana

QAA's Chief Executive Vicki Stott joined students and staff at the European University of Tirana (EUT) last week as part of their graduation ceremony, at the invitation of University rector Professor Dr Tonin Gjuraj. 

During the event, Vicki provided a speech on behalf of QAA, highlighting the relationship between QAA and EUT, who became the first university in Albania to achieve international accreditation through QAA’s International Quality Review last year. Vicki also had the opportunity to meet with senior staff and students at the University and to learn about the importance that international benchmarking, and the achievement of IQR accreditation holds for the entire University community.

Speaking to graduates, Vicki said: 'I am sure the relationship of each one of you with EUT will not end here, it will grow in time as you develop personally and professionally in your chosen path'. She also noted EUT’s position as a QAA International Associate Member which provides the university with access to 'a growing global community of universities and colleges committed to sharing best practice and learning from each other and from UK’s approach to quality assurance'.
