QAA’s Acting Chief Executive, Vicki Stott, has been elected to the Board of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). Vicki, who will take up the role as QAA’s Chief Executive from 1 November 2021, was one of seven candidates elected at a meeting of INQAAHE’s General Assembly.
Vicki’s role on the Board will provide a platform for the interests of UK higher education to be heard on a world stage, whilst also ensuring QAA Members have access to key intelligence on international trends and developments in higher education quality. Vicki will join the Board in October 2021 for a three-year term.
Speaking upon her election, Vicki said: ‘Collaboration and cooperation with our international partners are fundamental to enhancing the quality and global reputation of UK higher education. I’m delighted to be joining the Board of INQAAHE and look forward to contributing positively to the global quality community.’
INQAAHE was first established in 1991 as a world-wide association of organisations that are active in the theory and practice of quality assurance in higher education. It provides a forum for the discussion of issues that go beyond national or regional boundaries, such as cross border education. Today, INQAAHE has over 300 members, including QAA who are a full member. More information on INQAAHE can be found on the INQAAHE website.
