PVC Strategy Summit 2025
Date: | March 11 - 2025 |

It is a critical time for higher education in the UK, with institutions increasingly seeking to maintain and enhance the quality of their provision in the face of extraordinary technological, political, economic and cultural developments, and often with diminishing units of resource available to meet the challenges – and benefit from the opportunities – that arise from such seismic changes.
On 1 April, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education will host our annual PVC Strategy Summit at The Studio in the city centre of Birmingham, to bring together colleagues from across the UK, to share insights and promote strategies to meet the issues faced by our sector.
The summit is designed to address the interests of higher education leaders with responsibilities for the oversight, management, delivery and enhancement of learning and teaching, educational quality and the learner experience.
This event offers an opportunity for senior managers to meet, network and discuss the key developments facing UK higher education today.
The day will be introduced by QAA Chief Executive Vicki Stott, who will share our latest insights into higher education's current political, policy and regulatory landscape.
The event is also scheduled to include sessions on strategic decision-making in the processes of curriculum reform, on the risks, rewards and requirements of PRSB accreditation and the application of competence standards, and on the findings of this year's series of roundtables exploring the current state of partnership provision, including questions of commercial risk and due diligence, academic governance and external regulation and oversight.
The event also provides an opportunity for QAA Members to highlight the topics that they would like QAA to focus on over the course of the coming academic year.
Registration is free for QAA Members and refreshments and lunch are provided.
