Join us for Quality Insights 2025

Date: January 21 - 2025

Registration has opened for QAA's annual Quality Insights Conference, which will take place online on 26-27 February.

We're hoping to top Quality Insights 2024's record for participation, with more than 1,100 people having taken part at last year's conference.

Our 2025 Quality Insights conference will focus on themes of sustainable enhancement, dynamic quality processes, the importance of compassion in education, and institutional and curriculum reform.

The two-day event will open with a keynote presentation by Professor Phillip Dawson from Australia's Deakin University, who will discuss the development of dynamic and sustainable systems to address assessment security and academic integrity in the age of Generative AI.

It is also scheduled to include speakers from the universities of Bedfordshire, Greenwich, Leeds, Liverpool, Loughborough, Newcastle, Northumbria, Reading, and Ulster, as well as DMU, Edinburgh Napier, Nottingham Trent, The Open University, Oxford Brookes, St Mary's University, Queen's University Belfast, Robert Gordon University and UCL.

The conference will also feature presentations on the latest developments in quality processes and discussions of QAA's own work on Generative AI and our Scottish and transnational enhancement programmes.

The conference's broad range of sessions is designed to interest and benefit practitioners in teaching, learning and assessment, quality professionals and other professional services colleagues, higher education leaders, managers, strategists and policymakers, student representatives and students’ union staff.

"We have a great selection of presentations and workshops from a brilliant line-up of speakers," says QAA's Sector Engagement Manager Sophie Hall. "We'll be discussing key topics such as the ongoing impacts of artificial intelligence, our sector's increasing emphasis on the importance of student inclusion, belonging and wellbeing, approaches to maintaining and enhancing the quality of the learner experience and its outcomes, and effective ways to add value to the work of providers at a time when resources are limited and expectations are high."

Registration is free for staff and students of QAA Member organisations - book your place here. We very much look forward to seeing you there!
