Education for Sustainable Development and Academic Quality project report published

The report from our Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Academic Quality Collaborative Enhancement Project is now available. It outlines principles and processes for providers looking to identify how academic quality can support the adoption of ESD.

The aim of the project was to fill a gap around offering specific examples, adaptable templates and advice on how ESD can be reflected in academic quality processes.

Building upon the 2021 Guidance on ESD published jointly by AdvanceHE and QAA, the report includes recommendations for fostering an enabling environment to achieve impact and is intended to be used by any actor within a higher education setting whose remit or goals include addressing ESD in the taught curriculum.

De Montfort University led the project, in partnership with Cardiff University, Coventry University Group, Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Bath, University of Derby, University of Exeter, University of Leicester, University of Strathclyde, University of Winchester, University of Worcester and Students Organising for Sustainability.
