Advice for providers on maintaining academic standards amid the ongoing marking and assessment boycott is now available on our website.

While QAA does not hold a position on the industrial action currently taking place in the sector, academic standards is a crucial component of our role as the UK’s independent quality body, and we are providing this guidance in that context. 

Our advice outlines practical steps and approaches that providers may take to ensure that students can progress in their studies, including graduating with the award they have earned.

Taking lessons from the pandemic, the advice aims to assist providers in quickly adjusting assessment requirements and awarding processes, while also helping them consider the flexibility that may be built into existing arrangements.
