Compliance with the ESG
The Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) provide the framework for internal and external quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area. QAA’s review methods are compliant with these standards, as are the reports we publish. More information is available on our website.
What does IPA accreditation mean?A successful IPA means that you are eligible to display this QAA International Programme Accreditation Badge, which demonstrates that your approach to programme design, development and monitoring are not only effective, but also comparable with international best practice. Refer to the IPA Badge guidelines for details about its use. |

Dr Nadeem Khan
Dean of Instiutional & Program Accreditation, Higher Colleges of Technology
QAA’s long awaited International Programme Accreditation initiative will certainly help institutions globally to develop, improve and demonstrate that their academic programmes meet the most robust European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) in higher education quality assurance. The most significant impact is the involvement of students as stakeholders in all aspects of planning, delivery and continuous quality improvement of programmes.

International Programme Accreditation is a great way to show that your courses and curricula are recognised internationally and stand together with the best globally. External review by QAA gives you the confidence that what you are doing is in the best interests of your students and their future employers.
