Our New Provider Service (NPS) offers specialist advice and guidance to providers in England* wishing to register with the Office for Students (OfS). This includes readiness to meet the baseline expectations for academic quality and standards in the OfS Conditions of registration (B7 and B8).
The service draws on QAA’s unique experience and knowledge gained as the Designated Quality Body (DQB) in England from 2018-23. As DQB, QAA undertook assessments of the quality and standards of providers that were seeking registration with the OfS, to help inform the OfS’s regulatory decisions. QAA is proud to have over 25 years of unmatched expertise designing and operating assessments across the UK.
We can support providers making new applications for registration, as well as those who applied before 1 May 2022 and are subject to a Quality and Standards Review (QSR). This support can be for new providers currently with or without students, or those with a history of higher education delivery looking to develop a credible plan to meet the conditions of registration.
With a choice of four modules, the service has been specially designed to be flexible, proportionate, and responsive to your specific needs. Let us help you in your journey to achieve OfS registration. Watch our video to find out more.
QAA provided us with a comprehensive overview of the OfS registration process that showed a great understanding of how the process worked and set us up perfectly for making our own application. We would happily recommend them to any business embarking on the OfS registration process.
