How Higher Education Providers Work With Professional Bodies

Our PSRB Forums support regular engagement between professional, statutory and professional bodies (PSRBs) and our members. Meetings cover current topics and develop understanding of the different perspectives and requirements for students to complete accredited courses and move into the professions.
Forum resources
The most recent meeting, held in December 2024, included an update on the review of the UK Quality Code, competence standards and Subject Benchmark Statements and a presentation on QAA's joint project with Quality Strategy Network (QSN) on approaches to monitoring, review and evaluation processes. There was also an UK-wide policy update.

PSRB survey
Given the growth in accreditation activity, we considered the time was right to find out more about the relationship colleges and universities have with PSRBs and the quality issues associated with running accredited courses. We therefore conducted a survey with providers in early 2024 - the key findings of which can be seen in the paper below.
