During 2019, we undertook a review of UK transnational education (TNE) in Malaysia. We review UK transnational education as part of our mission to safeguard standards and improve the quality of UK higher education wherever it is delivered
We selected 12 TNE arrangements to be reviewed. The aim was to choose as representative a sample as possible across the four nations of the UK, focusing on the main types of TNE models operating in Malaysia: branch campus, validated dual awards, franchise, and validation.
The findings are published here as 12 quality assurance reports on individual partnerships and an overview report.
A Country Report, offering an insight into the higher education and regulatory landscape in Malaysia, as well as seven case studies, are published exclusively for QAA Members on our Membership Resources site.
In order to help protect the quality and standards evidenced in Malaysian TNE provision, QAA is developing separate advice for UK providers during the pandemic response period, which will be published on our COVID-19 support and guidance page.
