Our work in this area aims to promote equitable, accessible and inclusive teaching, learning and assessment practice that has student experience as a central focus.
We have a sustained focus on equality, diversity and inclusivity throughout our work, which is reflected in the composition of our advisory groups and content of sector reference points. The Subject Benchmark Statements reviewed since 2021 set out a vision for building an inclusive and accessible education at a disciplinary level.
We have developed a number of resources which help members to explore different ways to embed inclusion and accessibility within their curriculum.
Members can access materials relating to this area of work on our Membership Resources Site.

Our creating inclusive subject learning communities advice looks at four interconnected themes: curriculum design, course content, teaching and learning, and assessment and feedback practices - focusing on enhancing the student experience.
We developed a complementary set of reflective questions to help academic and professional teams design inclusive pedagogical approaches.
We produce case studies and publish presentations from member events to share effective practices, unique approaches and practical tips for other providers to reflect on.
In this podcast, QAA's Dr Kerr Castle, Professor Deborah Johnston from London South Bank University and a commissioner for the Disabled Students' Commission (DSC) and Sean Cullen from Brunel University and the Student Voice Commissioner for DSC discuss the experience of disabled students.
In this podcast, Dr Kerr Castle (QAA) chats with Mercy Mwansa (University of Leeds) and Rachel Van Krimpen (University of Nottingham) to discuss different barriers to success for postgraduate researchers. The discussion covers issues including mental health and wellbeing, imposter syndrome, the influence of research culture and perceptions of identity.
A number of our current Collaborative Enhancement Projects are focusing on equality, diversity and inclusivity. Groups of member institutions are working together to produce outputs for the sector including toolkits and reflective case studies.
