QAA Scotland is pleased to be able to share three reports relating to the ELIR 4 review cycle, which has now concluded.
An overview of quality and enhancement activity 2018-22 (ELIR 4 cycle) offers an overview of the key matters learned from the ELIR 4 cycle in relation to current trends and areas for development in the Scottish higher education sector. It covers broad areas including institutional strategy and policy-setting, the student learning experience, strategy and practice for enhancement, academic standards and quality processes, and collaborative provision.
Alongside the Overview report are two Thematic Reports that focus on more specific issues. The Postgraduate Student Experience was identified as an area for development during the ELIR 3 cycle, and it is clear from ELIR 4 reports that it remains a continuing priority. The new Thematic Report on the Postgraduate Student Experience identifies key themes and concludes with reflective questions to support enhancement in this area.
Professional Services Review is an area for development that has been identified during the ELIR 4 cycle. The new Thematic Report on this topic similarly identifies key themes and draws on our successful Focus On: Professional Services Partnerships project that ran in session 2021-22.
