Enhancement Themes series

The Enhancement Themes programme aims to enhance the student learning experience in Scottish higher education by identifying specific areas (Themes) for development. The Themes encourage academic staff, support staff and students to share good practice and collectively generate ideas and models for innovation in learning and teaching. Each Theme is written up in a paper summarised on the Enhancement Themes website.

Learning from Enhancement-Led Institutional Review

The review method we use to review standards and quality at higher education institutions in Scotland is Enhancement-Led Institutional Review (ELIR). An important element of this are the Themes that drive enhancement of the student experience. The findings of ELIR reports are analysed in the Learning from ELIR series. The topics on which papers are available are listed below.
